Meet Jackie Young, the Rising Star of the WNBA

From humble beginnings to All-Star success

Jacquelyn "Jackie" Young has taken the basketball world by storm. Born on September 16, 1997, in Trenton, New Jersey, she has risen through the ranks with incredible speed and skill.

Young's journey began in high school, where she was a standout player for Trenton Catholic Academy. She led her team to multiple state championships and was named New Jersey Player of the Year in 2016. Her exceptional talent caught the attention of the University of Notre Dame, where she continued to shine. As a Fighting Irish, Young was an All-American, ACC Player of the Year, and NCAA champion in 2018.

In 2019, Young was drafted by the Las Vegas Aces as the first overall pick in the WNBA Draft. She has quickly become one of the most dynamic players in the league, known for her explosive scoring, skilled ball-handling, and tenacious defense. In just her second season, she was named a WNBA All-Star and won the Western Conference Player of the Week. Young's exceptional play has helped the Aces reach the WNBA Finals in 2020 and 2021.

Off the court, Young is equally impressive. She is a passionate advocate for women's basketball and is dedicated to inspiring young people. She serves as a role model for young athletes, showing them that anything is possible with hard work and dedication. Jackie Young is more than just a basketball player; she is a rising star with a bright future both on and off the court.
